I began writing this song when I was 16 years old, as I was preparing for the birth of my precious daughter. Words cannot express the feelings I experienced as I held her in my arms, full of a mother's love and then placed her into the arms of her adoptive mother, who was also full of that same motherly love for her. The sorrow and pain I felt afterwards was immeasurable, yet I felt peace knowing that God was watching over us both and that one day, we might be reunited. After 18 years, shortly after publishing this song, a miracle happened. That sweet reunion I had prayed for happened and I am so blessed to be a part of her life, once again. I have no doubt these events were all orchestrated by a loving God and I am so grateful to Him for leading our paths back to one another again.
