Baby So Sweet

$1.89

Christmas has always been my husband’s favorite holiday and for the last few years, he and I have started a new tradition on Christmas Eve. After the kids go to bed and we’ve wrapped up the final Christmas preparations for the next day, we then take some time to listen to sweet songs of Christ’s birth and watch the many beautiful versions of the nativity. Then, at the stroke of midnight, we go outside and look up at the stars. We try to imagine as if we are there on that Christmas night when the new star appeared in the sky, signifying the birth of the Savior. As we do, we can feel the excitement and joy that must have been present on that sacred day. And in that moment, it’s almost as if we can see Him, laying there in the manger. A tiny perfect little newborn and yet a mighty King at the same time. Even though this may only be a figment of our imaginations or perhaps even a long distant spiritual memory, I feel so much love and joy that I want to join the choir of angels in singing…”Emmanuel, praises we sing! Emmanuel, Lord of Kings, The Mighty God, The Prince of Peace, wrapped all up in one Baby So Sweet.”
